MAXIMIZED EXISTENCE – Part 2

MAXIMIZED EXISTENCE – Part 2

For me, being alive means intentional living. ‘Living’ is synonymous with ‘Aliveness’ – being alive, but in this context, living signifies a state where you only breathe in and out oxygen, but aliveness means, amongst other things, to be alert and active, not just breathing. Let’s put grammar aside and focus on the main point: God expects us to maximize (make full use of) the life He has given to us on earth, by discovering the essence of our existence and putting it to full use until it is exhausted, here on earth.

Like apostle Paul said,

“As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 2 Tim. 4:6-7

Notice the last statement in the scripture above, “and I have remained faithful,” faithful to what? His unique calling as assigned to him by the Lord. This shows that it is equally important to play by the rules of the game, and run the right race, as it is to finish the race.

Earlier in the book of Acts, he stated the driving force for his life,

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” Acts 20:24

He understood what the Lord would have him do and he spent his entire life in the pursuit of the same, and said at the end of the day, “I have finished the work!” Isn’t that what vision is – a picture of a desired or a determined end? It is the end that is captured before the beginning. It is to see it and say it as it will be at the end. Paul saw it and worked towards it until it was accomplished, and had nothing more to live for. He maximized his existence on earth so much so that he started longing for the life beyond the earth.

“Death Is A Tragedy Only For A Man Who Was Never Truly Alive!”

Many people are eagerly waiting for the second coming of Christ and want the world to end because of their current suffering, and some want it because they feel it will end the suffering in the world, not realizing that God is delaying His return because He wants them to fulfill and maximize their purpose on earth. He wants sons like Paul, who would pour themselves into their life assignment 100% and long for home only because they are done here on earth, but not ESCAPISTS!

“Heaven is meant for the sons of God who are done on earth and have a record of pleasing God while on earth. No escapists can be found there!”

Christ said,

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10

That’s exactly my point, you are not just to have a life, you are to have it beyond mere existence. Be all that you can be and have all that you can dream of and believe God for, here on earth!

“Life Was Designed To Be Lived Fully!”

God does not need your talents in heaven, you don’t need prosperity in heaven, you don’t need abundant provision of all earthly materials in heaven, you don’t need sound health in heaven, we don’t need your dreams in heaven, they are only valid and given to you for the purpose of others here on earth, and they are meant to be objects of praise unto God, only here on earth.

Ideally, achieving your God-given dreams (bearing much fruit) on earth is an indication of a meaningful and prosperous existence, which is good for the earth and qualifies you for heaven.

“When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” John 15:18

Jesus could have simply said “When you produce ‘Fruit,’” but to emphasize the kind of life He planned for us, that’s why He said “MUCH Fruit.”

So, What Is A Maximized Existence?

It is a life of love which expresses itself in service unto God, and maximum selfless service unto fellow mankind, according to the intent of God for one’s life.

The Bible says concerning David,

“For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep,……” Acts 13:36

I used the portion of the scripture above to alight my point about service. Those we call great on earth are men of great service unto mankind, and those even the great call great are men who not only serve the people but also enjoy a rich relationship with God.

How are you serving your Maker?

How are you serving your generation?

Who is happy because you are alive?

What are you contributing the space called earth?

“If the only person who knows you are alive is the opposite gender – your spouse, then you have a wasting and a malfunctioning existence.”

Therefore, find God’s perfect plan for your life, and adopt Acts 20:24 and 2 Tim. 4:6-7.
